Improvements in Tuta Mail

Tuta Mail has recently seen its biggest improvements with making the client load ten times faster than before and with the addition of partial word search along with the security improvement of key verification. But we don’t stop here! Get excited for our latest update in Tuta Mail: resizing columns and click “undo” when moving emails.

Resize columns

Resize columns in Tuta Mail was one of the most requested usability features that we’ve heard from you in the past few years. And we heard you loud and clear: Everyone has their own preference for how much space they want for their inbox list versus the actual message view. Now, you can simply resize the mail column to your liking. Whether you want to focus on your conversation or increase the size of the inbox list so that you can read the entire subject lines, you’re in control.

Click “undo” after moving an email

It happens to all of us: You move an email via drag and drop or click “delete” and suddenly realize that you picked the wrong email, or moved it to the wrong folder. Now, this is no longer an issue in Tuta Mail. With our new “undo move” feature, you can instantly reverse the action and get your email back to where it was. This small change removes a big source of frustration and makes managing your inbox smoother than ever.

Improvements in Tuta Calendar

The Tuta Calendar app is much appreciated by the Tuta community, with ratings as high as 4.6 on Google Play and 4.7 on the App Store. This is no surprise, given the automatic encryption that is already quantum-safe and the constant improvements that we are releasing for the apps. Today we are happy to announce that we are bringing great usability features to the Tuta Calendar – some of which you have been eagerly waiting for.

Duplicate events

Sometimes you’ve got an event that repeats just once, or that you’d like to re-use for faster planning as maybe you only need to change who is joining the event. Now you can duplicate events and re-create the same event at a later time – and edit it if needed. With duplicate events, you can easily copy an existing event and adjust the details, making it simple to set up similar meetings or reminders.

Reply with comment

Communication around scheduling also just got more flexible in the Tuta Calendar. When you receive an invitation, you can now reply with a comment. This lets you confirm, decline, or suggest changes by simply adding your comment in the event reply. There’s no need to open a separate email to comment on an event invitation anymore.

Partially edit or delete event series

We’ve also made recurring events more flexible so that you are in full control of everything that happens in your calendar. Now, you can edit or delete parts of an event series without changing the entire set. It’s now possible to edit event series depending on any possible requirement of yours: Whether you need to cancel just one meeting out of a recurring series or want to adjust the time for only a few of them, just do it!

Cleaner, more organized invite emails

Invites now look better, too. We’ve given invite emails a design refresh so they’re easier to read and navigate, helping you quickly understand the details and respond accordingly.
