Mission
Hi, we are Tuta, the most secure email and calendar service. Our mission is to bring privacy to the world and to enable everyone to store and mange their data in the cloud with zero tracking. For over a decade, we have developed our product and built strong ties with privacy and open source communities.
Our service is used by millions of people around the world and we have been profitable since 2016. We are now in the process of turning our secure email service into a quantum-safe encrypted platform, and therefore want to grow our international team. Our aim is to present an alternative to Big Tech and to make privacy simple and accessible for all.
Meet Our Team
Tuta is a young, profitable company of 30+ passionate freedom fighters from over five countries. Together, we are on a mission to show the world that protecting privacy can be simple.
We are an international team closely working together at our offices in Hannover and Munich, Germany, with English being our main work language.
We value a variety of backgrounds and life experiences in our team, and we celebrate a diversity of ethnicity, culture, gender, and sexuality. We embrace diverse perspectives and seek self-motivated individuals.
Team Players
We enjoy working together in our offices in Hannover and Munich as much as possible. We believe that being together in one location is much more efficient and also more fun. Nevertheless, we offer flexible and family-friendly conditions to meet your individual situation. We also take on working students from time to time (we don't offer relocation in this case).
Our software developers generally work in pairs, which has many advantages including catching mistakes early and spreading knowledge amongst the team. We use scrum to quickly deliver new features and improvements to our users. Important decisions are discussed as a team, so everyone can have a great influence on the development of Tuta.
Love Hannover and Munich
Tuta is proud to call the beautiful cities Hannover and Munich its home.
Hannover is a middle-sized city in Germany with a relatively affordable cost of living, yet with a very high living standard. You have different parts of the town with nice parks and lakes, nightlife locations, multicultural areas and also the "Eilenriede", one of the largest urban forests in Europe. Hannover is also well located as it is not far from Hamburg, Berlin or the North and Baltic Sea, as well as having some beautiful forests and mountains nearby.
Munich, sometimes called "The Village of One Million", is located close to the beautiful Bavarian Alps in southern Germany. Being in fact the third largest city in Germany, Munich has a lot to offer. From cozy beer gardens, good restaurants, and nice parks and lakes, all the way to theaters, great architecture, vibrant nightlife locations, and various sports activities. Leaving the city in the south opens the door to a wide range of beautiful mountaineering and natural activities.
We welcome people from abroad to apply with Tuta. If you are currently living outside of Germany and need to relocate to Hanover in order to join our team, we will help you with everything necessary. We also have experience with the blue card visa process to support you if you relocate from outside the EU.
