About Tuta

Tuta is the world’s first end-to-end encrypted email service that encrypts the entire mailbox, including the calendar and address book. With its unique open source technology Tuta fights for privacy and freedom of speech online, allowing everybody including NGOs, journalists and activists to send encrypted emails on desktop and mobile.

We are constantly improving Tuta. Here are some of the most important milestones:

• Started a research project to build a post-quantum secure Drive solution

• Reached ten million users

• Completed a research project to add quantum-secure encryption

• Launched a free encrypted calendar.

• Published the Android app on F-Droid to offer a Google-free open source email service.

• Completed beta phase of our desktop clients for Windows, Linux and macOS.

• Tuta is a GDPR-compliant email service since May 2018.
